Craigavon Area Hospital

The project included the refurbishment of 4 operating theatres & the provision of a new theatre at Craigavon Area Hospital. The existing theatres were contained in the centre of the existing hospital on the upper floors. New plant equipment was provided which had to be connected to existing M&E systems. A series of planned shutdowns had to be agreed with the theatre department to allow for the change over of the new systems. Works to the live infrastructural interfaces were agreed during co-ordination meetings between the design team, the client, the contractor and the M&E subcontractors. The completed works provided a state-of-the-art surgical operating facility. catheterisation procedures as provided by Siemens Medical Solutions
